Is your body capable of performing a perfect golf swing?

Executing a golf swing is an amazing act of skill. It requires a fine balance between power and precision. When things go wrong you head to the range and hit balls hoping to find the magic trick to right that wayward ball. When that doesn’t work, you book a lesson and get the pro to eliminate your bad habits. Yet somehow these habits keep creeping back. Why?

  • Back pain
  • Poor posture
  • Spinal stiffness
  • Tight hamstrings
  • Poor core strength
  • Knee and hip injuries

At Physiosports we offer a comprehensive screening program to determine the underlying physical issues that prevent you from performing at your optimum. Utilising digital swing analysis, Real Time Ultrasound assessment and a golf-specific musculo-skeletal screening protocol we implement a program to rectify your specific physical limitations. The answer is simple: better body, better game!

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this mean that I can stop having golf lessons?

No. The aim of our assessment is to ensure you have the flexibility and strength required for golf, it is still up to your pro to improve your swing. We work closely with golf pros to maximise the results of your physiotherapy sessions and lessons.

If I don’t feel stiff should I still have an assessment?

Yes. The musculo-skeletal screening in your assessment will highlight any muscles or joints that need to be addressed. Remember that a golf swing requires movements through multiple joints. A small amount of tightness in even two joints can compound to a huge change in your swing.

Is this covered by my private health fund extras?

Yes. All our sessions are run by physiotherapists and are covered for your standard physiotherapy rebate by your health fund.
