Sports and Exercise Physician


Anik consults at Physiosports Brighton twice a week. In addition to this practice she has roles which include sessional work at the Cabrini Emergency Department sports injury clinic and talent pathway medical officer for the Australian Football League (AFL), Anik has been appointed to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games medical team as headquarters sports physician and is a player sports physician at the Australian Open Tennis,

Other appointments include sitting on the Australian Sports Medical Advisory Committee (ASDMAC), Independent Medical Advisor for the cricket Big Bash League (BBL), independent medical officer for the National Basketball League (NBL) and member of the ICC TUE committee

Previous team experience includes chief medical officer for Melbourne Victory Football Club, medical officer for the Australian world championships rowing team, Women’s Australian U21 basketball team, National League Basketball teams, Melbourne Monarchs Australian Baseball League team, U21 Victorian netball team and the Port Melbourne Football club.

Previous experience includes working as the Medical Convenor at the Victorian Institute of Sport, Deputy Chief Medical Officer for the Melbourne Commonwealth Games, Chief Medical Officer for the FINA World Championships and World Masters Games
