Kristian Thorborg is an Associate Professor at Copenhagen University, Denmark, and a Specialist in Sports Physiotherapy, with expertise in the assessment and management of patients with hip and groin pain. He did his Masters in Sports Physiotherapy at Melbourne University in 2003, and defended his Ph.D. concerning “Clinical Outcome Measures in Physically Active Individuals with Hip and Groin Pain” in 2011. Kristian Thorborg has been a consultant to several professional football clubs and has published more than 80 peer-reviewed articles and co-authored more than 20 book chapters. He has been lecturing at the Copenhagen University since 2009, and has been invited speaker at national and international conferences.

Kristian Thorborg was the Editor In Chief for the journal of Danish Sports Medicine from 2007-10 and has been the Chairman for Danish Sportskongres in 2015 and 2017. He is a former board member of the Research Fund for Danish Physiotherapists, and Chairman for the Revision of National Clinical Specialization in Physiotherapy in Denmark.

Kristian is now working as a full-time researcher at the Artroscopic Centre Amager, Copenhagen, but still sees patients on a weekly basis, as well as undertaking consultancy work.
