Physiosports Cycling Seminar 2012

Stef Hanson is the founder of Witsup.com, Women In Triathlon, which is an online portal aimed at boosting the profile of women in the sport, introducing more women to triathlon, and is dedicated to raising more awareness of the sport in general. The site consolidates interviews, tips, advice, race reports and wrap-ups, research articles, training articles and a variety of other ideas. The site draws upon a variety of sources including professional triathlete ambassadors and our experts from different fields.

Stef has been a ‘healthy obsessed triathlete’ since she first dipped her toe in the water of her first race at the Noosa Triathlon in 2007. Moving her way up to the long course events, she is a four time Ironman finisher, and is working on that ticket to the Ironman World Championships in Hawaii. She dives headfirst into things that she is passionate about, so if she’s not training or racing, you can often hear her on the mic at the finish line of triathlons and fun runs, reporting on events or interviewing triathletes. It is this passion for the sport that lead her to recognizing a gap in the triathlon market and consequently launching her website.

Through her research she has come up with various points of difference when it comes to women in triathlon, and one of those differences is saddle choice for chicks. When you spend a lot of time in the saddle, it’s important to be comfortable, but making that choice is tough! So she plans on helping you make the right decision…

Stef will be presenting at Physiosports Brighton free Cycling Seminar on August 22 along with Physiosports director Paul Visentini and former pro cyclist and iron-man Kevin Ford.
