Hesh Amarasekera


Hesh is a PODIATRIST who completed his Bachelor of Health Science and Masters of Podiatric Practice at La Trobe University. Since completing his studies Hesh headed up practices across Glen Eira, Bayside and Mount Waverley.

Over the past 5 years Hesh developed his clinical skills in the management of the musculoskeletal overuse injuries, general podiatry, paediatric patients, diabetic patients, work related injuries and nail surgeries. Hesh has a particular interest in lower limb biomechanics and musculoskeletal overuse injuries of the foot and ankle.

Hesh holds current memberships of the Podiatry Association and the Australasian Academy of Podiatry Sports Medicine. Hesh has completed additional courses to offer a wider range of treatments for his patients. Hesh actively pursues professional development by attending conferences and workshops to keep up to date with the latest advances in technology and evidence-based treatment.

Additional Training:  Shockwave therapy, Dry Needling, Injection therapy (Prolotherapy) and Fiberglass casting.

Outside of podiatry, Hesh’s interests revolve around sport, Hesh is a one-eyed Collingwood supporter, who also loves an occasional hit of the sticks and playing Futsal (social sports) with his mates.
