Dr Mona Shabghareh

Sports and Exercise Physician

Mona is a consultant SPORT MEDIC SPECIALIST who has been practicing in the field since 2009. She earned her Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from Shiraz University of Medical Sciences, Iran, before completing a fellowship in Sports & Exercise Medicine at Tehran University of Medical Sciences in 2012 and is also a fellow of the Australian College of Sport and Exercise Medicine.

During her time in Iran, Mona worked with a wide range of athletes, including recreational and professional soccer, tennis, and volleyball players, as well as individuals participating in various sports. In addition to treating musculoskeletal injuries, she has extensive experience in the rehabilitation of chronic conditions such as asthma, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease, helping athletes and active individuals manage these conditions effectively.

After relocating to Australia in 2020, Mona continued practicing Sports & Exercise Medicine at Mornington Peninsula Sports Medicine Clinics. She remains passionate about providing evidence-based care for athletes of all levels and active individuals.

  • Tendinopathy and youth health in sport
  • Ultrasound-guided procedures, including regenerative treatments
