John is an APA SPORTS & EXERCISE PHYSIOTHERAPIST, STRENGTH & CONDITIONING COACH and PILATES EDUCATOR.
John is an experienced physiotherapist with over 23 years in sports and rehabilitation practice. Graduating in 2001, he combines physiotherapy, strength and conditioning, and Pilates-based rehabilitation to help people move better, recover from injury, and build lasting fitness.
He has a particular interest in masters-age athletes, including those managing osteoarthritis and tendinopathy, or those returning to an active lifestyle after time away from sport or exercise. John works with a wide range of clients—from recreational and competitive runners, cyclists, and team sport athletes to people simply wanting to stay strong, mobile, and confident in their movement.
At Physiosports Brighton, John leads the Rehabilitation and Pilates-based services, providing both in-clinic and online consultations. He also develops long-term exercise and training plans that guide clients beyond recovery and support sustainable health and performance.
Outside the clinic, John has been teaching and running workshops for health and fitness professionals since 2007, presenting across Australia, Asia, the US, the UK, and Europe, delivering education on integrating strength training and Pilates into clinical practice.
Previously, John has worked with Football Victoria and Brentford Football Club (UK). As an active masters aged athlete himself, he understands firsthand the challenges of staying active, healthy, and motivated at any age.
John is available for in-clinic or online consultations to help you return to your best.
